BAILE y FUEGO!
Baile y Fuego means ‘Dance and fire’, and you can expect some real fireworks at this concert that features music from, or inspired by, Spanish and Latin American culture.
The NSSO is thrilled to again be working with acclaimed pianist, composer and improviser Daniel Rojas. The North Sydney Symphony Orchestra will play two works from his recently released and highly praised new CD ‘Bliss of Heaven‘, featuring Rojas’ trademark irresistible rhythms and a cornucopia of melodies. The orchestra will be joined on stage by Daniel Rojas for the performance.
The concert also features Falla’s much loved ‘Three-Cornered Hat‘ suites from the ballet of the same name, and Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2 – a piece that featured in the hit Amazon series ‘Mozart in the Jungle’.
