Albury Chamber Music Festival presents
CANTABILE – Session 1, Performance 6, Songs Without Words
In some ways, Franz Schubert’s music is all about song and the voice, and so is his breathtaking second last piano sonata. It is a large-scale work that encapsulates beauty, warmth, grandeur, intimacy, nostalgia, joy, melancholy and whimsy. This will be interspersed with works by Matthew Hindson, J.S. Bach, and Chopin, all songs without words from different times and places.
