Congratulations to London-based Australian pianist, composer and technologist Zubin Kanga, who has received two nominations in this year’s APRA AMCOS Art Music Awards, which will be held virtually on 8 September 2020, streamed via Youtube.
Award for Excellence in Experimental Music – for his 2019 performances of Jon Rose’ work, Ballast
and
Performance of the Year: Notated Composition for his 2019 performances of ‘Rhythm City’ by Tristan Coelho
Both works were performed by Zubin in his ‘Piano Ex Machina’ program that toured Australia, UK and Europe last year (read more about it here).
Zubin has previously won the 2012 APRA-AMCOS Art Music Award for ‘Performance of the Year (NSW)’, and the ‘Award for Excellence’ in the 2013 Art Music Awards.
