Before and after each piece, silence will fill the auditorium, culminating in John Cage’s 4’33” – a work known by many, mocked by some, and widely misunderstood. In a COVID-19 world, it assumes an extraordinary relevance: when experienced and shared intentionally, silence can be transcendental.”
